Aristocrat Leisure Ltd. and International Game Technology (IGT) are the big winners at Eilers & Krejcik Gaming's (EKG) fifth annual EKG Slot Awards.

 

Las Vegas-based Light & Wonder (LNW) joins Aristocrat and IGT in the top three slot machine providers in North America by market share, and has also received multiple gaming equipment awards. Games from Australia such as Crazy Cash, Moon Race, Ninja Moon and Panda Moon, and the famous Buffalo series. IGT produced the popular Wheel of Fortune series and more.

 

Aristocrat gets its fair share of ECG slot prizes, but so do competitors IGT and Light & Wonder.

 

Light & Wonder's Blazing 777 Triple Wild Double Jackpot Wild was EKG's top-performing new mechanical core game in 2022, and the company also won in the leading new cabinet - premium category.

 

Gaming equipment makers have a tailwind. These include consumers who remain focused on casino visits, which provides operators with much-needed resilience. Additionally, analysts see supply chain pressures in the industry easing.

 

Social Casino Awards

EKG has two social categories – Best Social Slots Game and Best New Social Casino Game. Pixel United's Lightning Link Casino was the winner in the previous category, beating out competitors like Playtika and SciPlay.

 

PlayStudios' MGM Slots Live has taken top honors for Best Rookie Social Casino Game of 2022, beating four competitors in the category.

 

Playstudios, which makes games such as myVegas Slots and myVegas Blackjack, has its own loyalty program - playAwards.

 

Players can redeem those points for amenities and accommodations at MGM venues, including glitzy venues like the Aria, Bellagio and Mandalay Bay on the Las Vegas Strip, as well as some of the operator's regional casinos.
