The Macau Fisherman's Wharf was built on the coast of the newly reclaimed area of the Outer Harbor, adjacent to the Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal. It is the first theme park in Macau, China and a shopping mall imitating Fisherman's Wharf in Europe and America.

 

Macau Fisherman's Wharf covers an area of more than 100,000 square meters, many of which are reclaimed from the sea. According to the design, the whole project is divided into three themed areas: "Palace Wharf", "East and West Convergence", and "Leale Wharf".

 

The "Palace Wharf" will be an area that expresses the ancient Chinese culture. The traditional Chinese buildings in the area are dominated by golden yellow, with pavilions and pavilions. There is a handicraft exhibition hall. There are also many flower boat restaurants by the sea, serving Chinese seafood delicacies.

 

On December 31, 2005, the opening ceremony and trial operation were held by Macau Chief Executive Ho Hau Wah and Fisherman's Wharf Chairman Ho Hung Stan. After one year of trial operation, it officially opened on December 23, 2006. The completion of Macau Fisherman's Wharf has brought a new look to Macau's tourism industry.

 

It will be located on the coast of the new reclamation area of the Outer Harbor, facing the turbulent blue sea and the Friendship Bridge with a post-modern design concept on the east, and the busy Hong Kong and Macau Ferry Terminal on the other three sides, the new Yaoban Department Store with a full range of goods, and the palace-style The gambling ship "Macau Palace", the five-star hotel Mandarin Oriental Hotel, the majestic Macau Cultural Center and the Lotus Plaza.

 

The concept of "Fisherman's Wharf" in Macau originated from Europe and the United States, and it represents a kind of European nostalgic leisure. It is not a single entertainment place, but a comprehensive Happy Palace.

 

There are many specialty shops here, as well as Lan Kwai Fong-style and European-style restaurants and bars. Later, casinos and hotels will be completed, integrating different elements into one, like a small city.
